Gel-A-Peel Glow In The Dark Notebook Challenge

Before Noah went back to school he was challenge to design a notebook cover with Gel-A-Peel.

The perfect intersection of fashion + design. Design. Peel. Wear. Share. Gel-A-Peel allows you to express yourself through your own designer creations!

Inside the pack
  • 3 Gel-a-Peel tubes
  • 16 design templates
  • Gel tray with squeegee tool to make gel shapes and gems!
  • 5 designer tips: 3 round, 1 rake, 1 star
  • Clear drawing sheet, Cleaning tool. Accessory hardware
Noah was also provided a copper notebook which you can find in Primark for £2.50.

Noah really liked the idea of designing his own notebook cover.
He loves being arty and when he's not on Minecraft or building Lego sets he's at his desk drawing.

He had big ideas for his notebook, first he was going to draw Link from Zelda on it, then he was going to put some wrestler logos on but he struggled at bit with doing really detailed drawings with the pens.

So we let it dry and peeled it off and let him start again.
This time he just went with some doodles.
I showed him it was much easier to do simple designs with the pens and that they weren't really designed for complicated pictures.

He started off with his name and year group, then wanted to do a bit of a Tom Gates design and I he just went to town.
Below is the end result.
He even designed a bracelet using the design template included in the pack.

The pens glow nicely in the dark and that really pleased Noah as usually when things say they glow in the dark they barely do!

You can find The Glow in the dark pack here for £14.99

Christmas Gift Ideas // Sands Alive Glow

The twins have been asking for some magic sand since seeing an advert on telly.
So when I was offered the chance to review the new Sands Alive Glow it was a no brainer!

I've never been 100% about the stuff as I thought it would be a load of rubbish and mess but I was rather wrong.
The sand feels strange but in a good way and it makes no mess, well none that isn't easily cleanable.

In the kit you get a bag of the sand,
a magic UV pen,
a play tray and some moulds.

The boys absolutely loved playing with Sands Alive Glow, even Noah surfaced from his room to have a play.
They all made a mini village and then enjoyed making the castles glow in the dark.

The boys loved switching off the lights and watching their village glow.
They screamed with joy that it had turned into an alien village, their imagination is limitless and having magic sand that you cans sculpt and mould to anything and everything is endless.

Sands Alive will make a great Christmas pressie and will provide hours of entertainment.
I've bought two more for the boys so that they can have their own to play and build with.

This magical sand never dries out or hardens, and is made from natural materials, and is bacteria-resistant!!
Mini castles.

You can buy Sands Alive Glow from Amazon for £19.97

Dinosaur DNA // Review

Discover the secret to bringing dinosaurs to life with the new Augmented Reality Dinosaur DNA set.

We were recently send a Dinosaur DNA kit, Noah is a big fan of dino's and loves finding out all about the different species and how they survived and then what happened when they all went extinct.
He was thrilled when he saw the box and wanted to get digging straight away.

Inside the box you will find,
A block of clay,
3 tools to help you discover you're glow in the dark dinosaur bones and special DNA capsule,
Two special dino code mats.

Noah loved digging out his dinosaur. Some bits of the clay needed some mummy super strength to help make a dent on it, but Noah did most of it.
He got so excited when each bone was revealed.
After all the bones were unearthed Noah set to work on connecting them.

I have to say fixing the dinosaur together was probably the hardest part, as it was pretty tricky putting it together, but with a little bit of patience and calm Noah was able to do it.

Noah and the twins were amazed at when the Dinosaur came to life via the app
Dinocodes
Which is a free app for either iOS or Android devices.

Inside each box are 2 square mats, each with a small segment of DNA missing. Once you've removed it from the capsule you need to stick it onto the empty square.
One mat features your chosen dinosaur, the other a mysterious question mark revealing a surprise scenarios for example a fiery volcano, a town hit by a huge tornado or a city overshadowed by a huge storm,

Our mysterious question mark revealed a city over shadowed by a huge storm!

The unique Dinosaur DNA kits RRP £14.99
You can get them over at Rymans.
You can choose from 3 different dinosaurs,
Tyrannosaurus Rex,
Stegosaurus,
Triceratops.

The dino kits will make an awesome stocking filler, or Christmas present for any dino fan!

**we were sent the dino kit for free, in return for an honest review.
