Mini Beast Hunt Down At The Park...

Ru always enjoys finding me bugs in the garden, so I thought why not head out to the local park and see if he could find anything different.

He got straight to work, using his handy magnifying glass.
He wasn't afraid to use his hands to dig through the mud and leaves.
The dirty the better in his eyes.

We looked in all sorts of places, in the bark by the climbing frame, by old tree Stubbs, in the ivy and in the long grass.

We found a few of his favourites....spiders, a couple of worms, lots of ants and one earwig.
We also had a couple of Ducks watching and following us whilst we were on the hunt.

He loved the fact that he could see everything up close with his magnifying glass and I know I'll probably find him laying on his belly examining the ground with it in the future.

For the mini beast hunt Ru wore his brand new JCB outfit from M&Co Fashion .

He is wearing - JCB Quilted Knee Badge Joggers (RRP £12.99) and a Joey JCB Striped Muddy Friends T-Shirt (RRP £8.00).

M&Co Fashion have a great range of JCB clothing range for the Spring / Summer months, and all items are very reasonably price and perfect for wearing out and about in the garden or at the park.
Made well and made to last.

I love that the joggers have padded knee patches, as this is perfect for Ru, as he's always scurrying around on his knees, and with that padded material, holes aren't likely to happen that quickly!

Ru is in aged 3-4yrs and theres plenty of room for him to grow without having to buy a new pair anytime soon.
Both pieces of clothing wash well and haven't shrunk!

I'm not a massive character clothing fan, but these have actually won me round a little bit.

Ru loved them and was very keen to get dressed into them.
For him getting dressed is an issue and he usually hates what I pick out for him, so it was nice to see him actually want to put something on that I got out first.

Are you a character clothing fan?
Is your child?

JCB Easter egg Hunt

The boys chicken pox are finally starting to scab over and they're starting to feel back to normal.
*Yippee*
So after nearly two whole weeks of being stuck indoors, I decided to set up a fun Easter egg hunt game in the garden with the help of Stacking Stanley.

Whilst the boys were in the front room jumping about with excitement I got busy hiding different coloured eggs about the garden along with some other JCB friends.
I had planned to fill the plastic eggs with mini eggs, but unfortunately I may have eaten all of them before the hunt started!

The aim of the game:

Find your colour egg and race them back to Stanley one at a time,
once all your eggs are in Stanley tray you have to build up the tower, once you have done that you can pick a chocolate egg!

Here's a little video of the boys on their hunt.

Ru had a few tantrums, mainly about the fact his bunny ears wouldn't stay on and he wasn't really a big fan of someone other than him was building the tower!

Other than Ru's mini temper tantrums, the boys all had great fun.
I thought I had hidden the eggs in pretty easy to see spots, but apparently not as they all had difficulties in finding them and Oscar didn't find his last one.

Once the hunt was finished they all sat down to enjoy their special JCB Easter eggs before having a play with their new JCB toy - Stacking Stanley.

The eggs instantly disappeared and then surprisingly they all took it in turns in building the tower on Stanley.
Ru and Oscar both really enjoyed playing with him and they both stayed in the garden long after everyone else had gone in.

Welcome Home With JCB Kids

When Oscar finally came home last Saturday he was greeted with an exciting package from JCB kids.
We get sent things every month as part of our brand ambassadorship with them and we never know what we'll get.
This months package was just perfect for Oscars homecoming.
New Pjs and a book to read whilst he chilled out at home recuperating after his week in hospital.

Oscar loved the Pjs, he got straight in them after his bath and said he felt "much much better".
They are nice and soft, just perfect.
At only £9 from George Asda they're a right steal.

Oscar didn't want to take them off!
After another trip back to hospital where he was kept in again I told him I really had to wash them.
I had to wash them there and then, so that they were ready for bedtime.

Diggers at work a pull and lift book was a hit at bedtime.
Alex and Oscar both took it in turns to lift the flaps and spin the wheels.
They really enjoy activity books, it makes them much more interested in what I'm reading to them and they are more likely to take it in and remember.

Coming home to a surprise really made Oscar perk right up, so thank you JCB kids and Butterfly Consultancy for the perfectly timed parcel!

The Wheels On The Digger Go Round and Round

Rupert loves pretty much anything with wheels!
Even round about at the park, he would much rather lay on the floor and watch them than actually sit on the roundabout!

Jon apparently was the same when he was young.

Ru always has a car in his hand, or a couple shoved in his pockets when we venture out and about.

He recently has been enjoying playing with some new JCB wheel loaders.

JCB explore offer a great range of diggers of all sizes and models.
Perfect for little ones to let their imaginations run wild.
Ru likes to re an act cars and pretends his wheel loaders are the tractors in the film which Mator an Lightning scare.

For a child who isn't big on role play, its wonderful seeing him act out one of his favourite films.

He's getting quite a collection now and his digger line up is nearly as impressive as his cars line ups.

The large Wheel Loader is available on amazon for £12.68, suitable for ages 3+.
The mini Wheel Loader is available over on JCB explore for £3.99 suitable for ages 1+.
Both are perfect for indoor and outdoor play!

Do you have a digger crazy child?

Foggy Day In With My First JCB Toys

We spent this morning out at the Sea Life Centre and were going to have a game of football in the afternoon, but the fog hasn't lifted and the boys didn't want to go back out in the cold.

So that meant it was a perfect time to show them the new JCB kids stuff we were sent!

We were sent Digger Driver book,
Mega Machines Play Box and My Mega Digger Toolbox all from Igloobooks.

Oscar and Alex both loved the Digger Driver book, Oscar tried to perfect his driving skills, whilst Alex loved pushing all the noisy buttons!

It makes a fun and interactive bedtime story.

Rupert loved lining up all the road signs from the Tool box and Play box.
When I showed him how to use the play mat he was happy as pie.
He was very content in driving his mini Joey JCB around the track.

Both play sets.

The twins and Ru were kept quiet for the majority of the afternoon.
I don't think I've ever seen them play that nicely before.

The twins have each claimed an activity book and have told me they are going to solve all the puzzles without help tomorrow morning.
(I'll believe it when I see it!)

The play sets definitely a 5* rating just for me getting a five minutes to enjoy a hot coffee!

In the Mega Tool Box you got an array of road signs and a wind up Joey JCB along with an exciting hardback activity book.

The tool box is handy as you can store all the mini road signs from it plus from the Mega Play Box in it and have no worries of losing them.

I'm sure Rupert will end up filling it with his cars.

In the Mega Play box you array of road signs, a wind up Joey JCB, an activity book and a play mat.

JCB Kids

We have been given the fantastic role of being JCB Kids brand ambassadors, which means over the coming months I'll be sharing with you some really cool JCB kid goodies.
Which will range from clothing to bedroom accessories to toys!

The boys are all pretty excited as they looooove anything to do with diggers.

In our November box we received two tops,
One Joey JCB striped jumper and a long sleeved top.
Both of which Rupert adored and hasn't wanted to take off.
The jumper is age 4-5, so was meant for the twins, but as Ru was there when I opened the box he took first dibs.

Alex has got his eye on it, so im sure at the first moment he gets he will nab it.
Both tops are from the JCB range at M&Co.

The jumper is lovely and soft and for a character top looks rather smart!
It's made well and washes well!

The Joey JCB stripe sweater costs £12.00, which is a very reasonable price for a well made jumper!

Same goes for the long sleeved top.
This is perfect for nursery wear or when out and about.
The JCB Joey top costs £9.00.

We were also sent My First JCB toys by Golden Bear Toys.
We received a Freddie Fastrac and a Talkie Joey JCB.

Both have 5 fun phrases to keep the kids entertained.
The twins favourite phrase being 'Back to work lazy bones!'

You can find Freddie over on amazon for £14.40

My 1st JCB Talkie Joey which costs £9.99 is a great buy, Noah received one of these one Christmas when he was little and it is still going today and we haven't had to change the batteries once!

Ru adores his talking JCB's and takes them all over.

These two little characters have become firm favourites in the house and the all the boys love driving them around the house!

I can't wait to show you more JCB Kid goodies!
