Our top ten favourites from June

In this post I'll be looking back at June and picking my favourite ten things.

1. Seeing our garden bloom 

2. Becoming a bit obsessed with my new planner 

3. Attending Britmums Live and meeting one of my favourite ladies of Instagram 

4. Watching indie have her beautiful babies 

5. Being able to finally take the boys swimming, thanks to the local pool and its child to adult ratio working in our favour!

6. Fresh cherries from the local farm shop 

7. Fuelling my stationary addiction with The idea owl 

8. Being asked to work with Bambino Mio  and review their new range of swim nappies 

9. New bedding 

10. New washi tape!

Embracing Happyness!

At Britmums live on the Saturday I attended the Embrace Happy workshop run by Pippa Best, Story of Mum and Karin Joyce, Embrace Happy
It was probably hands downmy favourite   workshop of the whole weekend! 
It left me feeling inspired and .... happy!

What I took away was that every day has some good in it, even if you don't think it did.

Sit down at the end of the day and think about what made you smile, be it a nice cup of coffee or a stranger smiling at you.

You don't need the world to make you happy, just the small things in your every day life!!

Write down 3 good things that have happened that day. Then you can look back and think actually it wasn't all that bad. 

Doing this will help me a tremendous amount when dealing with my down days.

I've also been googling "happy" quotes to pop in my planner on random days as a little reminder to myself to #embracehappy. 

My quote for today is .....
" You are never to old to set another goal or dream a new dream " C.S Lewis.

We also made 'happy hearts' pictured above. Which on each strip of paper is written something that makes me happy. 
My heart is now on my bedside table, so I see it every day.

I'm  planning to do make some with Noah, as i think he'd like doing an activity like this as he finds it hard telling people his feelings, whether they're  happy or sad. 

I have a special little notebook beside my bed that I write my 3 good things of the day in just before I go to bed.
It's helped me feel much lighter and less down about things and I'm sleeping better.
It's a therapy all in its self. 

So ladies I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for holding such a great workshop.
