Book Review || Blue Kanagroo Series

Blue Kangaroo is a hugely popular book series for children aged 2-5 years old.

I was kindly sent the 3 new books in the series,
When I First Met You Blue Kangaroo,
When Lily gets a new baby brother, she soon discovers that it’s not easy learning new things and helping to look after someone so small. But then Grandma brings her a very special surprise; someone who also needs to be cared for – Blue Kangaroo

Where Are You Blue Kangaroo,
Lily loves Blue Kangaroo, but she often loses him and sometimes Blue Kangaroo wonders if he’ll ever see her again. Luckily, Lily always seems to find him, but what if one day she doesn’t?

Happy Birthday Blue Kangaroo,
Lily has decided - this year she will have a pink birthday. Pink invitations, pink cake and pink presents. But Blue Kangaroo is not pink! Has Lily forgotten her best friend?

Written and illustrated by Emma Chichester Clark.
Emma studied art at the Royal College of Art. She has worked as a freelancer for magazines, publishers and advertising agencies as well as teaching art for several years, but now dedicates most of her time to children’s book

Ru is now at the stage where he's just started showing an interest in books and sitting still long enough for me to read him stories before bed,

It's actually helped quiet a lot with his sleep routine, as now he knows once he's had his story he'll get some cuddle time and then he'll be placed in his cot.

We both loved these books, Ru loved pointing to the beautifully illustrated pictures and I loved the stories.
They show how strong a bond can be between child and toy.
When no one else quite gets you, you know your faithful toy will!

Ru hasn't got a strong attachment to any of his teddies yet but the twins won't go anywhere without their beloved sheep dog teddies.
They take them anywhere and everywhere.

The upsets we've had when they've  been misplaced, or when they need to be put in the wash because their whites are no longer white and they pong just a little too much!
The love they have for them is beyond words!

These books will appeal to both parent and child alike.
They'll make beautiful gifts and they'll sure to become bedtime favourites.

Now I've read the new books in the series I shall be making sure I buying the old ones too!
