A look back #4

I haven't taken many pictures this week, I've not been on top form, so these pictures are from last Sunday when my parents came over for a roast.
The boys decided to have a bit of a Mergie Wrestling!

(Mergie is the name Noah gave to my dad when he had just started talking, since then it's stuck and all the boys and my nieces call him it! )

Aren't Grandads great at get the kids all fired up when they're meant to be calming down!

Love isn't dead ...

Or maybe I just smell.
Jon surprised me with a gorgeous gift this morning!

Before I opened it I could smell it. It smelt amazing!

I really do love my lovely jubbly bath bombs and soaps, so Jon really did well with this.

So after a really stressful few days :
Complete buggering up a very exciting press event and the boy kittens going off to a new home, which now turns out to be a rather shitty one ..... Really regretting that!
All that plus running out of my meds has messed me up a little.
I'm having a nice hot bath with this baby

It smells as good as it looks.

I'm hoping my stresses float away and I'll be back to normal soon.

I have neglected my blogging duties recently because of my mood drop and i now have a back log of posts.
So once I'm back on form I'll start working my way through them.

I'll get there just stick with me :)

The wildlings on Telly...

Well not quite but very nearly!!

My little crazies had their first ever audition this morning!
We only found out late yesterday afternoon, so it was all rush, rush, stress, stress making sure they had a nice outfit and decent looking trainers .... Have to say theirs were looking a bit worn.

So after bedtime yesterday I drove like a mad woman (obviously a safe driving mad woman) down to Morrisons and across to sports direct!

My luck was on as Morrisons had just put all their summer stuff in the sale!
Bargain for me!
Shirts were £3.50 and the shorts were £5 each!
Their Adidas trainers were £19.99 each.
Not bad really, when some sport shops charge a small fortune!

After my little shopping trip it was home to pack.
We decided to come to our parents and stay, as one its a nightmare getting to London from the Isle of Sheppey and two I have to be in London again on Friday morning.
So it just made more sense.
Our lovely neighbour is on kitten and cat dutie and Ray has come along for a little trip.

We had to be at Whitechapel for 11.45 today, so we left our home at around 8 ish and got to my mums in Surrey just before 10.

We made it on time even after walking around in one big circle and then had to wait around for around an hour.
The boys weren't too fussed as there was juice on tap and an endless amount of fruit to eat.
Not to mention a sea of other little twins around to play with.
Something I won't forget in a long time.
Very strange seeing so many little people who have a double!

The boys were on top form until they got called in to the casting directors cabin....... Oscar started screaming and Alex went all shy!
Alex did do a teeny little bit what they asked but Oscar wanted no part in it!

They didn't get the part....I didn't really expect them too.
I'm not too disappointed, I'm just happy they got a chance.

All this came from responding to an email from TAMBA as they occasionally they send out media requests.

The boys are now under an agency and we've been told they will let us know if anything else pops up that would be suitable for them.
So watch this space!

Overall they had a great laugh getting on the train and flirting with all the people!

Noah's Room!

My plans for Noah's room have been kick started by having enough of his mess. His room was on the list, but since the holidays have begun and he's in there more and wrecking twins have been playing with him it has turned into a complete disaster.

As you can see for yourself in the picture above.

Before I go buying bits and bobs to make his room look fantastic, I really needed to get in there and have a good sort out and tidy up!

This morning I went up armed with bin bags and antibac wipes and set to work.

Two hours later you can actually see the floor!

The rubbish!

The bed end (bed is not made properly made as some was still in the wash)

Finished!

Now that it's back in order and all his bits and bobs are unpacked it's going to be much easier to plan.

He really wants a desk, somewhere he can do all his plotting to take over the world and his superhero drawings!

We've said if he's able to keep his room tidy and put things back once he's finished with them we will buy him a new bed.

This one from IKEA fits the bill nicely

It has the desk that he's desperate for, a wardrobe and shelves.....All the storage that his room is lacking at the moment!

My dream bedroom for Noah.
I would convert the loft into Noah's room / play den for all the boys.
I would get plenty of skylights so that the room was nice, bright and airy.
Skylights are a great way of achieving that, VELUX have such a lovely range of skylights and roof windows that I'd be spoilt for choice!
They do special blinds to fit their windows which would be perfect and would mean no faffing around trying to find ones that fit and do the job you want. They have special black out duo blinds that really apeal to me, as none of the boys sleep well if the room is not dark enough!
With VELUX being a well known brand I would trust them to do a great job and I know they'd be reliable.
When it comes to having big home improvements done it's better to go with the professionals!

I would do a feature wall with super hero wallpaper. Boys never really grow out of superheroes!

I would section of one part of the loft and make it into a living / den area, with a comfy sofa bed, storage for toys, DVDs and games.
Make it into a place that could really grow as the boys grow.
So that it would always suit their needs.

What would your child's dream room be?

Introducing the next big "Mummy Must Have" - The Cub Bag

The Cub Bag which is launched today I believe is set to be the next big mummy must have.

All new mummies have a check list of things they want to get before the babe gets here and I can see them adding The Cub Bag to the top of the list.

Not only is it a funky changing bag, that holds all the essential baby items, it can be used as a feeding support when you're out and about!

I remember feeding Ru in an Asda's changing room, it was the most uncomfortable moment for both of us, I was used to feeding with my pillow at home and hadn't quite mastered feeding out and about without my beloved pillow.
So it was all rather awkward.

The Cub Bag would have given me the support that I needed.

Once the baby is bigger The Cub Bag can also be used as a carrying support when worn across the shoulder.  I'm not saying it's a baby carrier because it's not, but it can take some of the weight off whilst you are holding your babe on your hip!

A bit more about this fantastic bag....
The Cub Bag has been designed and developed by a mum, who never did manage to find a baby changing bag she really liked. Following a trip around South America the Cub Bag was created based on the traditional, multi-functional, baby carriers of Peru.
The result of two years design and development is a great looking baby bag that keeps things simple, while making parents daily lives a little bit easier.
Cub Bag has created a beautiful and stylish baby changing bag but what’s more we have created a bag worthy of daily use - not just for taking out when in the company of babies and small children. It’s also an ideal baby bag for travelling.
Made in the UK and available in a limited edition range of high-quality faux suede and linen fabrics.

A look back #3

This week we spent a lot of time at the beach!
Jon's parents came to visit on Wednesday with the boys cousin Sam.
Then on the Friday we had two of Noah's  best buddies from his old school come around with their siblings and we all went to the sea for the day.
Swimming, sand castle building, bomb finding, ship wreck searching and one poo explosion that = a naked baby roaming the sand!
The big boys decided a mud bath was just what the doctor ordered.
Also during the week we spotted a gorgeous rainbow at sunset minus the rain.
The kittens also turned 8 weeks and had a visit to the vets.

What have you been up to this week?

Guilty pleasures we all have them, here are my top 5!

1. Chocolate.
I have a secret stash of chocolate that keeps me going, I've perfected opening my chocolate as quietly as a mouse. As this mummy does not like to share her choccy buttons!

2. Instagram!
It's completely addictive, I love seeing what others are up too and what they do in their little world! It gives me that ten minutes of joy whilst the kids are napping or playing nicely!

3. Nail varnish.
I can't help but buy a new colour everytime I go shopping! Living with a house of boys its my way of having a bit of girlie time!

4. Cupcakes.
Not only do they look ridiculously cute they are ridiculously yummy. Once again a treat for mummy and mummy only!

5. My planner / watching you tube planner videos.
Something completely sad and time consuming but I love watching how people decorate their planners and how they use them. Then I'll go and spend my evening time faffing around with mine. I'm sure my Instagram friends are getting bored with my silly planner photos!

Those are my guilty pleasures, what are yours?
