My Little Love Heart Baby Girl Gift Set / Review

Just after Christmas, I had an exciting delivery all the way from Australia!

The lovely Luisa from My Little Love Heart had asked me if I wanted to review some of her gorgeous hand made baby items and I was more than keen to say yes.

Luisa decided to send me the Baby Girl gift set in the print botanical.

What's included in the gift set?

A Burp cloth,

Baby Bib,

Bandana dribble bib,

Bunny teether,

and a little headband.

This botanical print is one of their newest prints and has already become a favourite.

It is part of their Australiana range which is the perfect gift for any Australian or overseas baby girl. 

The Australiana range includes the Koala, Kangaroo, Eucalyptus, and floral gumnuts prints.

All items are lovingly handmade by Luisa and the gift set retails at $74.95 Australian dollars which equals £42.52. 

Which I think is a very reasonable price for five handmade items.

I love the print and that the fabric is super soft, I've washed everything in preparation for the baby's arrival and all items washed up a treat.

You can wash the items in a normal 40-degree wash, which makes life easier as sometimes handmade items need to be washed on a slightly different setting to your usual but Lusia has made sure everything is simple and no extra fuss is needed.

I can't wait to see our baby girl wearing her bibs, the print is fresh and bright and the pink is just the perfect shade!

I love all the little details on the items and can tell Lusia has really put a lot of love into making them.

I also wouldn't let the fact that the shop is in Australia, as the waiting time really wasn't that long at all, it usually works out at 10 - 30 days shipping all depending on how busy the postal team is.

 

- Christmas Wreath -

Last weekend I went to a Christmas Wreath workshop over in Swaffham

It cost £40.

The workshop was completely full, some people had never made a wreath before and some were returning crafters.

We were shown step by step how to make our own wreaths and the instructions were really easy to follow.

We started off running the wire around our copper wreath and then covering it completely in moss before we started on any of the greenery.

We had a big selection of foliage to choose from, we could use as much or as little as we wanted.

If at any point you got stuck the florists would come over and lend a hand or talk you through how to correct it, or where to add some more foliage.

Once we had all finished with the greenery we were then walked through the next step...Decorating our wreaths.

We could each pick 12 decorations and a ribbon.

Then it was up to us what we picked and where we placed them.

I was really happy with my final piece, once all my decorations were in place I then went a bit glitter happy with the spray.

The finished wreath up on my door!

I was worried my hook wouldn't hold the weight of it, but so far so good. Even these ridiculously strong winds haven't blown it away yet.

 Having the amazon delivery man ask where I bought it from has been one of my Christmas highlights so far, as I got to smugly reply that I hand made it myself, I even have the ivy spikes in my fingers to prove it!

Making a wreath myself has defiently given me an insight at why handmade ones are so expensive to buy!

A lot of hard work and effort goes into them. My hands were completely black once I'd finished crafting mine and they hurt for days after.
