... Family Getaway ...

This last week we took the boys out of school (with the both schools knowledge) and headed an hour up the road to Centre Parcs Elveden forest.

We were very kindly gifted the break as a wedding present and couldn't wait to book it.
Ever since the wedding we have been counting down to this week and I'm now a little sad its over.

Along with us both sets of grandparents came.
My parents stayed in the same house as us and Jon's parents got a little cabin just for themselves.

We all really enjoyed the time away, it was nice to relax and see all the boys enjoying themselves and having both sets of grandparents to have fun with.

We went swimming every day and the boys also had some sort of fun activity to go along to on most of the days we were there such as Archery, a 3 hour pirate party, quad biking and so on.
With the boys all sorted for fun we also booked a spa treatment for myself, my mum and Jon's mum which was very need and very much enjoyed!

We had a few meals out but the best ones were where we cooked at home and everyone was there.

Being in the forest was great and has made me want to go and build a cabin in the middle of a forest and never be seen again!
We loved seeing all the different woodland wildlife and couldn't help but fall in love with the very friendly Muntjacs who came daily for their apples!

I won't ramble on too much so here are some snaps from the week...

On our first morning we met this little chap.

and he was VERY friendly.
