... Beach Trips, Eye Tests and Rainbow Roses ...

Half term and another week off for the boys.
We hadn't planned much for this week, seeing as we've only just come back off a holiday.

To kick start the half term we decided to head down to the beach and stretch our legs.

It was lovely as it was practically deserted and we had a nice stretch of beach all to ourselves.

The boys all had a good run around and we had fun writing our names in the sand.

The beach is definitely our happy place.

On Tuesday Jenny came to stay and the boys all had eye test.
For Noah it was his second one and for the rest it was their first.

Noah and Oscar had perfect results.

Alex had to been booked in for another appointment as his results were a bit iffy, so he had to go back today and have some eye drops to enlarge his pupils so they could have a better look.
Everything was fine and he doesn't need glasses which has upset him as he really wanted them!

Ru has to go to the eye hospital as he's developed a lazy eye.

Whilst we were busy in supersavers Jon did a bit of shopping and found this gorgeous rainbow rose!
It was a nice early Valentines present.

Afterwards we dropped the boys back off home and Jenny, Noah and I headed off to Kings Lynn and did a bit of shopping.
The twins needed a bit of a wardrobe update and I wanted a few new things for work.

Whilst in Kings Lynn we stopped in Costa for a coffee, and I plonked Noah in the seats by the window and went off to queue.
Only to return to Noah in tears.
He'd spotted a homeless man and it made him really upset, so we bought the man a hot coffee and a bacon roll.
Noah was so upset by the thought of this guy having no home that he cried on and off for the rest of the day.

Jenny and I both talked him through that not everyone is as lucky as he is and when you see people worse off, its better to show kindness than none at all.
So Noah buying the guy some food and a coffee rather than turning a blind eye was an amazing act of kindness and that he should be really proud of himself.
The man was very lovely and thanked Noah which made Noah feel better.

The boys all got treats on Valentine's Day.
Before Jenny headed back home on Wednesday we had another shopping trip.
We headed off to the Range and B&M.
I got a few things for the house, a new gold geometric fruit bowl and a frame for a Totoro print Jon bought me months ago.

I started a new book this week, I was going to buy one but decided I would try reading this again, as it's been sat on my book shelf since I bought it.

My Dummy TMA ( tutor marked assessment) was due in this week and I got it in at the weekend, it was sent back to me on Thursday and I had achieved 100/100.
I wasn't sure how it would be marked as some other students who are doing the same course as me all had theirs graded 0, 1 or out of 100.

It's really given me a boost and I can't wait to get stuck into my first proper TMA which is due in on the 8th March.
I'm nearly finished with unit 3 so I'll start writing the TMA once the boys are all back at school.

I feel as though this week has been sponsored by Costa's Coconut vanilla latte!
I've had well over 5 both in store and take aways.
Not sure how ill cope next week without my unlimited trips out!
