Back To School With Very Neko

Back to School is just around the corner for those of us in England, pupils in Scotland have already started their new school term.

There is always excitement, nerves and worries about the brand new school term...

Will I like my new teacher?

Will my best friend still like me?

Will I make new friends?

Will this year be hard?

Usually, those worries always melt away the moment you step into the playground and spot your best buddy.
Some like my boys will all be starting brand new schools, so the nerves don't always melt away instantly but usually by the end of the day they all have new friends.
One great way to help make a child feel happy about going back to school is.....

New School accessories, such as a brand new bag and water bottle.

Very Neko have a great range of homewares, collectables and clothing from all your favourite characters all at reasonable prices.

When shopping for back to school supplies I scrolled through all the Loungefly bags until I came across the Starwars droids all over backpack which was in the sale for £20.99 usually priced up at £39.99 and decided that would be perfect for Ru and then after recently buying myself a metal water bottle Ru really wanted one so I found the Mickey Mouse rainbow Funko bottle for £12.99 which I knew straight away would be perfect for him.
The bottle will keep his water cool all day helping to keep him hydrated!

The bag is a good size and has two compartments in the main section, so Ru will be able to keep his paperwork tidy and still have plenty of space to put his pe kit in and his stationary and reading books.

Ru was over the moon with his new back to school goodies and is now more excited than ever to start his brand new school in September.

Rise Of Scar Playset

Disney Junior's The Lion Guard, Kion, the brave leader of the Guard, and his team are put to the test when they face the evil villain Scar!
Join Kion as he challenges Scar in the action-packed Rise of Scar Playset.

Key Features;

  • Playset features fun lights and sounds
  • Includes one exclusive Kion figure
  • Play flames light up and pop out and the head rises!
  • So many fun features including a snake attack, a collapsing bridge, a lava ball launcher, a battering ram, and more!
  • Batteries included

The boys all really enjoy watching The Lion Guard on Disney Junior so when this Rise Of Scar Playset from flairplc arrived they all went rather crazy.

The Lion Guard Follows on from the incredible story of Simba in the Lion King, this new hit series recounts the efforts of Kion, the son and youngest child of Simba and Nala.
Follow him as he tries to assemble a team of animals to protect the Pride lands.

I originally agreed to review it for Ru but the twins and even Noah enjoy playing with it and I often find them playing with this rather than on the tablet or DS.

Ru can easily be kept entertained playing with this with his Cars and Kion for anything from 10 minutes to half an hour. Which for him is a long time.

With Kion's movable legs its easy to switch him from a sitting pose to jumping pose in a flash and move his head around like he's really taking in the all the dangers around him.
Ru often stretched out his front and back legs like he was jumping around just like our new kitten Link.

Getting Kion to cross the bridge and then making it collapse always made them roar with laughter.
Ru's favourite feature was the Lava Ball.
He really enjoyed trying to get it fly all over the kitchen.

Scars head pops up slowly when you press his nose and as his rises his eyes light up and the flames pop out. After his is risen you can press his nose to make different noises, such as lion roars or monkeys chattering.

Ru really loved making Kion get up to all sorts of adventures... getting stuck in the vine jail and falling into the crocodile pit.
To think of it I don't think poor Kion had a good ending in any of Ru's adventures.

The boys did play nicely together but I think this toy would be even better if it came with an extra play figure.
We also had a slight problem with our batteries, but once I had switched them around the playlet worked fine.

This playset is perfect to act out scenes from the cartoon or let your imagination run wild and play like Ru does.

This would make a brilliant Christmas present (I know I mentioned the C word and it's only September...sorry) or even a birthday present for any Lion Guard fan.

Another big thumbs up from the 3 little Mini Beasts!

Epson Eco Tank ET- 2550 Review

I have a strange love for printing things off.
The love affair never lasts long as when the ink runs out I become uninterested as ink is just far too expensive.
Specially when you're needed to buy new cartridges every couple of months.

So when I heard that the Epson Eco Tank printers ink will last up to 2 YEARS I needed that printer in my life!

What Epson say;

With printing costs reduced by 74% on average and no fuss, no surprises, Epson's EcoTank printers are the perfect choice for any busy household after the ultimate economical printer.
A 3-in-1 inkjet with print, copy and scan features, the ET-2550 couldn't be easier to maintain, with two years' worth of ink1 included in the box.
Wi-Fi direct and a 3.7 cm colour LCD screen make it even easier to use.

The initial outlay is more but in the long term it works out cheaper!
The included ink bottles can print up to 4,500 pages in black and 7,500 pages in colour at just a fraction of a penny per page.

Which is absolutely perfect for a big household like mine.
The boys love me printing off colouring in pages and Jon uses it for business.

When I'm looking for rainy day ideas I always tend to go to the Disney Inspired website and click on the craft tab, which then leads me to an array of different activities that I can print out for the boys to make.

At the moment they have some perfect Halloween activities, that I've printed off ready for their second week of holidays!

I also find a lot of cool printable's over on Activity Village.

I no longer have to worry about what and when I print.
In a strange way its rather liberating.

You can buy the printer off amazon.

**I was sent the Eco Tank printer for free, in return for an honest review.
