South Beach

We've had a few weeks of constant crying and meltdowns from Ru, so to give him a change of scenery we took him for a mid week stroll along the beach.

When we lived in Kent, I always made sure I took Ru to the beach once a week as I knew he liked it and it's always the one place he truly relaxes at.

I'm not sure why I haven't taken him to the beach since moving here.
It's closer....we can actually walk to it, its that close.

His face lit up when he realised where we were, and he was eager to jump out the van.
For the first time, he was interested in looking for shells, rather than just rocks.
So I gave him an empty poo bag and let him fill it up with all the different shells he could find.

The tide was out so we got to have a good walk and look in all the sea puddles.
We tried to find some crabs, but only came across dead ones or really tiny ones...

Ru pretty much had the beach to himself, apart from a few people jogging along the pathways.
He went off exploring on his own and didn't stop smiling.

It was nice to see him finally relax a bit after a couple of crap weeks, he's moved up to the big room in nursery and he seems to be struggling to find his place at home.
He's gone from sleeping well back to not sleeping at all, but thrown into the mix he now wakes up and screams like he's being murder and will run and hide in the most strangest place, then I have to run around in the dark trying to find him. Not something I really enjoy doing in the middle of the night.

I've made a promise to start taking him to the beach weekly, specially now the weather is amazing and if I walked with him in the pushchair, it would take up most the morning.
Beats sitting in front of the iPad or popping to Tesco.

Hiding From The Sun With Fuzzy-Felt.

Last week was sooo hot that we often found ourselves hiding away indoors.
During one of our hide out sessions we decided to open up the Paw Patrol Fuzzy-Felt pack that we were sent from John Adams

Inside the box you get,
Over 70 assorted felt shapes,
Ideas Leaflet
Felt play board.

Ru loves Paw Patrol and he needed no instructions on what to do with the felt pieces, he instantly started making pictures with the different pieces.

He really enjoyed making different pictures and showing me the end results.

The felt shapes stick nicely to the play board and they're is a nice selection of different pieces to choose from.

Ru spent a good half an hour making up different scenes and chatting away to himself whilst he did so.
Making up little scenes and playing with the Paw Patrol team.

It was the perfect activity to keep Ru entertained whilst we kept him in from the sun for a bit.
The twins have also had a play with it and both enjoyed it as much as Ru did.

We've never had a Fuzzy-Felt toy before, but I certainly will be buying more when looking for Christmas or birthday presents.

Paw Patrol Fuzzy-Felt is suitable for children aged 3-6yrs.
Fuzzy-Felt is one of Britains best loved toys!
You can buy this Paw Patrol Fuzzy-Felt from amazon for £12.99.

Frame My Name // Review & Giveaway.

I love anything thats personalised.
So when I heard about Frame My Name I was more than happy to jump at the chance to review a personalised name print.

The only tricky bit was deciding who to get it for.

Noah is too old,
I couldn't get one for one twin and not the other, so by elimination Rupert was the winner on this occasion.

It arrived quickly and was nicely packaged, you could see it was packed extra care to make sure it arrived in one piece.

I love the vibrant colours and it looks perfect in the white frame.

It took a while to pick which design I was going to finally go for, but I'm really happy with the Super Hero design.

It ties in nicely with Ru's new super hero obsession and looks pretty awesome in his room.

Once you have chosen your design, you then have the following options;
  • Child’s first name (up to 11 letters)
  • Wording line 1 (e.g. child's full name, date of birth etc if required)
  • Wording line 2 (e.g. personal message or quote if required)
  • Frame colour – choice of stained or white frame.

Not only was I pleased with it, Ru was too.
He had a smile from ear to ear when he came home from nursery to find it on his wall.

Frame My Name have a great array of designs, they have everything from Circus designs to unicorn designs.
Something for ever taste.

Frame My Name are letting me giveaway not one but two personalised name prints!
All you have to do is to follow the rafflecopter options below.
Good Luck.

Ru adores the Twirlywoos and always enjoys watching the shows.

So when Golden Bear Toys sent him some new Fun Sound toys to play with his eyes lit right up just like it was Christmas!

We were sent;

Fun Sounds Great Bighoo soft toy (RRP £10.99)
  • Super soft and beautifully textured fabrics
  •  Character says their signature sounds
  • He makes a lloveable cuddly companion and a great friend to go on twirly adventures with!

and

  • Includes 3 fun boat sounds
  • Built to last from tough materials
  • The perfect size for little hands

Ru was very impressed with his new toys and wanted to set sail on a Twirlywoo adventure straight away.

He loved hearing the boat make noises and he couldn't resist a cuddle or two from Great Big Hoo.
He even went and fetched his Interactive Musical Chick to join in the fun.

The toys are lovely and super cute and I think they would make an ideal gift for any little Twirlywoo fan.
They're not overly priced and have they have a wow factor.
Rupert certainly wow'd when he saw his.

Rupert has really fallen in love with these toys and he sits his Big Red Boat proudly on his shelf when he goes to bed, so that its safe from his brothers and in his view at all times.
Great BigHoo cuddles up next to him in bed to help keep him nice and safe while he sleeps.

Do you have a Twirlywoo fan at home?
