Keeping Those Pesky Nits At Bay With Kit & Coco

Nits aren't the thing you look forward to your child bringing home from school, but it does happen and its not the worst thing that could happen!

So far my boys haven't had nits but I know its only a matter of time before it happens.
We keep getting the warning letters from school and I keep an eye on their heads.

We were recently sent the full range of Kit & Coco treatment and protect range.

Launched earlier this year, Kit & Coco’s haircare is enriched with coconut oil which is naturally hydrating, nourishing and soothing.
When massaged in, it both strengthens hair fibers and soothes irritations of the scalp, leaving hair even softer and shinier than before.
But that’s not all! Coconut oil has a bonus quality: it is an active participant in the treatment of head lice!

I love the packaging, its fun and fresh.
Nothing to clinical here!
When the boys saw it, they had no idea what it was for but wanted to try it out straight away.
Seeing as we haven't had nits yet we haven't used the treatments but the boys all love me combing their hair with the nit comb!

The products are made with coconut oil - is there nothing that magical oil can't solve!?
No Insecticides, parabens, alcohol or silicone are use.

First up is Kit & Coco Protective Mousse
Which helps keep nits at bay!
This mousse helps keep your little one protected for up to 24hrs!
I've used this on the boys (minus ru, as its not suited for under 3s) and they all loved me using it on them!
A bottle of this costs £10.75 for 75ml

Handy to have incase the pesky nits decide to visit again, or you have a large family like myself!
This pack will cost £10.75
The pack consists of 4 treatments!
Can be used on children from as young as 6 months!

The kit contains 4 treatments
a nit comb,
an applicator brush,
a protective shower cap,
and a very cool surprise!

The boys love the nit comb, so when it comes to treating nits I know they will have no issue with me combing this through their hair!

The pack will cost you £15.75.

Last but not least

Spray the formula on hair and on the hairband or any fabric (T-shirts, shirt collars, hats, scarves...) to keep head lice at bay!
I can't really see the boys taking to using the hairband, but I know I will!
This bottle costs £10.75 for 75ml

I'm ready for you nits, come and get us!!!!

Jamie Webb, founder of KIT & COCO has some helpful tips to keep those Nits at bay......

How to PROTECT little heads

1.       Keep long hair tied up
Head lice don’t have wings, nor can they fly or hop from head to head.  The only way head lice can be passed on is through head to head contact; whether this is during playground games, selfies, sharing hairbrushes, or even when two hats or scarves touch on the communal coat rack.  Even when detached from the hair, the critters can live between 12 – 24 hours. Keeping your little one’s hair tied up in a ponytail, plait or bun is a great start to preventing head lice.

2.       Use a protective spray or mousse
Free from alcohol, parabens, silicone and insecticides, KIT & COCO’s gentle protective mousse and spray provide 24 hour protection against lice.  Perfect for school time or sleepovers, families can opt for the mousse or hair spray with a fashionable head band to ensure hydration and protection.

HOW TO FREE little heads from lice and nits

1.       Identify the critters
Although itching is the first symptom, only 30% of children are aware of an infestation so it’s worth carrying out a full hair inspection under good lighting on a regular basis.  Nits (the eggs) and head lice especially like the nape of the neck and behind the ears as these are the warmest parts of the head.  Nits are easier to spot than lice, which are speedy little critters and the best way to make a correct diagnosis is by using KIT & COCO’s ultra-efficient fine toothed comb!

2.       Act fast
Lice can produce around 10 eggs a day which take around seven days to hatch so one small problem can escalate into a larger issue very quickly!  Our KIT COCO complete treatment kit includes everything you need to combat head lice and nits from treatment shampoo to a gentle ergonomic nit comb, applicator brush, protective shower cap as well as surprise treat for little ones!
Here at KIT & COCO, we’ve harnessed the unique qualities of coconut oil and rich botanic oil to deliver gentle yet effective prevention and treatment for head lice and nits.  As head lice are constantly adapting to create a resistance to Pediculicides (chemical based insecticides), KIT COCO has utilised plant based active ingredients – to totally eliminate head lice and nits (eggs) through asphyxiation, which head lice simply can’t develop any resistance to.  The treatment range utilises the fatty acids from coconut oil to clog the respiratory system of head lice to banish those little pests for good.
Our 45-minute treatment is proven to be 100% effective against lice and nits, find out more here:
The KIT COCO range is available to buy online at KIT & COCO, Amazon and  independent pharmacies nationwide

Review || Wilkinson Sword Intuition Ultra Moisture

So its my cousins wedding this weekend and I'm having to make my legs suitable for public viewing! Usually my legs are hidden and the only leg skin that see the light of day are the bits that peak out behind the holes in my jeans.

I don't tend to get my legs out but when I do, I do like them to look good!
I'm pretty lazy when it comes to shaving my legs, and I will let them grow rather wildly if I have no reason to show them off! Obviously something Jon loves hates with a passion!
I was very kindly sent Wilkinson Sword Intuition Ultra Moisture , to try! The fact its an all in one really appealed to me, because.... I am..... a lazy shaver!

Potty Training Academy // Sticker Chart.

Ru has taken to potty training like a pro! He's had hardly any accidents and is no longer using nappies during the day.

I started him off in Bambino Mio training pants but after a day of a couple accidents he started taking himself to the toilet without any prompt from me.

I introduced him to his Potty Training Academy sticker chart on day one and he was very keen to fill it up, so even when he didn't need the loo, he would try and squeeze something out just to get a sticker.

We used both a toddler loo seat and the carry me potty, but he prefers to do his wee's just like his brothers...standing up. He sings putting out the fiiiire when he's weeing (god knows where he got that from! lol.)

The first real test was sending him to nursery and seeing if he returned with a bag full of wet pants. I made sure the washing machine was free for his return but when he came home wearing the same outfit that he went in in was such a win.

The sticker chart was a great help with gett…
