Festive Baking With Num Noms Series 4

The mini beasts were sent a festive baker parcel to keep us in the festive mood after Christmas.
In our parcel we had a stocking filled with series 4 Num Noms and a jar filled with scrummy cookie ingredients.

We were making rainbow cookies with our Num Noms.

The cookie mixture took no time at all mixing together but waiting 40 minutes for the dough to set in the fridge was the hardest part for the boys.
To keep them entertained we sat down and watching some classic Christmas TV.
We go so engrossed in the programme that we forgot about the cookies, so the dough had a little longer than 40 minutes,

After we had scooped out our cookie balls we sat down to find out what was in the stocking.
The twins picked first and then Ru had his turn.

The twins unboxed some new Num's which we'd never seen before,
Lizzie Lasagna
Hearty Spaghetti
& some glitter Noms
Nana Swirl
Razz Cookie.

Ru unboxed his first ever polish it Nom!
Ru rather enjoys having his nails painted so was over the moon to finally have his very own bottle.
Ru's Num was Citrus Blizzard and Lime Polish it!

Baking up a treat.

Ru was more than keen to get his nails looking snazzy and made me paint them straight away.

Once all the nail painting was done our cookies were finally done, so we all sat down to enjoy the boys handy work!
They were extremely tasty and didn't take long to polish off!

Num Noms Series 4 available in most toy shops!

Zomlings Series 6

The Zomlings of the future are here!

Zomlings Town has risen from the ground with super fast tracks crossing the skies and light shining brightly from every surface.

The Zomlings of the future are funnier, rarer and more adventurous than ever.

There are aliens, robots, mutants, critters… what a mixture to discover. They live in special Capsules that can fly across the skies.

They also have new types of Zom-Mobiles with advanced Zom-tastic technology for extra speed!

The boys love blind bags and are always rather excited when a delivery of them turn up.
They couldn't believe their eyes when this Zomling package arrived.

We were sent
A supply of packet blind bags - which includes 1 Zomling and a checklist,
A supply of Zom-Mobile blind bags - which has 1 Zomling and 1 Nom-Mobile and a checklist,
1 starter pack - which includes 1 album guide, 1 metal capsule, 1 Zom-Mobile, 3 Zomlings.

The boys surprisingly shared out the Zomlings nicely with absolutely no bickering whatsoever.
They each had a blister pack and around 5 blind bags each.

I loved watching their faces as they opened all the blind bags to reveal which Zomlings they had.
Oscar's face was a real treat when he opened up a packet to find a rare gold one!
Finding a rare collectable really is like finding pirates gold.

Once they had finished playing the twins sat at the table and crossed off all their Zomlings on the checklist and then circled all the ones they needed to get to complete the series.
I know what they'll be spending their pocket money on in the coming months.

It took a while for the boys to open up everything, but once they had rather than going their separate ways they all stayed and played together, having races and mini wars.

Zomlings are perfect pocket money buys as the single packets are only 50p!
You rarely get anything for 50p these days, not even a chocolate bar.

It's rather surprising that such small little figures can create such imagination and joy!

The Mini Beasts all give Zomlings Series 6 a double thumbs up!!

Unboxing // Fred's Box - Mystery Box.

I love subscription boxes and receive a few myself.
It's like a special treat every month and it sure beats opening the same old boring bills.
So when I heard about Fred's Box I was very interested in seeing what was inside one.

All the boys get excited when they see the postman hand me over a box and I always get asked is that for me??

So when Rupert asked if this was for him I said yes and he did a mini happy dance!

We were sent the Mystery box, which is suitable for children ages 3 and up.
Perfect for little Ru bear.

HOW IT WORKS

Fred's Box is the best monthly subscription box for both kids and geeks.
They can be ordered either as a prepaid one off or monthly box, or a pay monthly rolling subscription.

They have 2 new monthly subscription boxes:

  • The Fred's Mystery Monthly Box this is aimed at children between the ages of 3 and 16 years old.
  • This is a fun packed box filled with mystery goodies!
  •  It will always include an age appropriate reading book, trading cards, Ooshie (a different one each month), Fred's Box pencil and sticker, 4 x design it yourself postcards plus between 2 and 5 mystery gifts!! This box will still fit through the letterbox so you won't need to be in to receive your goodies!
  • This also comes as a twins subscription box and is one box with double the goodies.

A little bit about Fred .....

My name is Fred, I am a 7 year old boy who loves receiving my own post.
So I set this up in January 2017 (with a bit of help from mummy) to help other children receive exciting post addressed to them.
I enjoy opening up the boxes each month with no idea what is inside, I look forward to it each month.

Ru's face lit up when he saw all the goodies inside.
He didn't know what to pick up first.
He's obviously been watching unboxing videos on Kids Tube as he pretended to read all the instructions to me before picking up the toys.

The hot wheel car was a big hit with him, he's slowly losing interest in his Disney Cars and keeps trying to take the boys hot wheel cars, so when he saw he had his very own one, he put it right in his pocket to make sure no one could claim it as theirs!

Ru loves Disney Tsum Tsum and was please to have some more to add to his ever growing collection.

The blank postcards got put to use once he had finished playing with the Tsum Tsum and Hot Wheel car, he loved the guitar crayons and whilst colouring in he kept telling me they look like Daddy's guitars upstairs.

As you can see our Fred's Box was filled up with lovely goodies.
There wasn't anything that Ru didn't like.
He gave his TMNT cards to the twins as he isn't really into them, but other than that he kept everything for himself.

Ru gives his Fred's Box a big thumbs up!

Fred's Box also do an Ooshie Box;

  • The Ooshie Subscription Box is aimed at everybody over the age of 5!
  • Ooshies are squishy mini figures of your favourite licensed characters that also double up as pencil toppers.
  • Within this box you will receive between 2 and 10 Ooshies, a Fred's Box Pencil, a sticker and 2 x design it your self postcards to send to family and friends, or even back to us if you would like to be in with a chance to win some goodies

Num Noms Series 3 // Unboxing

We were sent some more Num Noms from the new series 3 sets.
On our last unboxing Rupert was asleep and missed out, so this time I thought I would let him have all the fun and unbox the lot whilst the boys were at school.
Rupert was the one who liked them the most and enjoys lining them up along his kitchen counter.

Incase you are new to the world of Num Noms, there are two different kinds of characters to collect.
The Nums are the outer, soft, squishy characters, and the Noms are the inner, hard-shelled characters.

We're starting to get quite a collection now and we all have our favourites.
All the boys love them and aren't put off by them being on the girlie side.

The Num Noms lunchbox packaging also doubles up as storage which is perfect for when its time to tidy up. Rupert will happily run around finding the Num Noms and place them all inside before he goes and hides the box away in his bedroom!
None of his brothers are allowed near his precious box.

Idea behind how to play::
1. Pick a container....
2. Add a Nom...
3. Pick a Num....
4. Creat your own wacky flavour combos!

Our best flavour combo with the newest Num Noms was ....
Cucumber, Marshmallow and Blueberry with the Num Noms;
Coolie Cucumber, Maya Mallow Num's  and Blueberry Light-up Nom.

They're a perfect size for him to carry around, one in each hand usually and he loves to squish them.
Much less bulky than his beloved cars.
The cheeky faces make him smile and every so often you can see him trying to copy their facial expressions.
The scented ones are my favourite and I cant help but take a sniff every time I pick one up.

Do your kids collect Num Noms?
If so whats their wackiest combo??

Series 3 and Light Up Num Noms in shops now!
