Use These Handy Life Hacks For Increased Daily Productivity

Staying focused and alert all day is hard. A lot of the time, distraction can quickly set in. Fatigue is also a problem when it comes to staying busy. Most people would love to be a little more productive in their daily life. Luckily, there are many simple ways to increase your daily productivity.

To be more productive each day, sometimes all it takes is some small life hacks. Changing a few parts of your daily ritual can increase how productive you’re being. In turn, you’ll be able to get more done both at work and home. You’ll also feel more awake and alert all day long. Here are some useful life hacks for increased daily productivity.

Improve Your Sleep

We all know that sleep is important, but are you taking it seriously enough? Adults are recommended to get seven to eight hours of sleep a night. But more never hurts. After all, research shows that one bad night of sleep can reduce productivity and awareness by 57%!

Start with improving your sleeping quarters. If your mattress is old and springy, get one that’s firm and comfortable. Get some big, fluffy pillows to keep your neck propped up. You should also get warm sheets and quilted pillow protectors for extra comfort.

Making a bed worth sleeping in is only half the battle. In fact, around 37% of adults in the UK suffer from insomnia. The problem is usually due to bad sleeping patterns. Make sure to stay away from your bed until it’s time to sleep. Also, keep a consistent schedule every night and your body will become accustomed to sleeping and waking up at a particular time.

Exercise In The Morning

Getting exercise done daily will yield a host of health benefits for you. But while many people are tempted to leave it till as late as possible, you might want to do it first thing in the morning. Studies have shown how exercise makes you more productive. After physical activity, your brain will be more focused, creative, and concentrated.

You might think you don’t have enough time, but all it takes is 20 minutes. You may want to put up a yoga mat on the floor next to your bed and do a quick yoga workout to wake you up. You could also do 20 minutes of HIIT cardio to get your mind focused.

Another approach is to exercise on your way to work. Many people these days are cycling or jogging to work to save money and get more active. It has the added benefit of making you more productive when you get into work. It’s an excellent way to kick start your day.

Make Daily To-Do Lists

One of the biggest productivity killers in daily life is putting things off. Many people plan on completing certain tasks each day but end up putting them off for weeks. Sometimes pushing yourself to do certain tasks daily can charge up your productivity.

You might want to write down three daily goals for yourself. For example, maybe tomorrow you want to plan your weekly budget, learn something new, and get a good workout.

Your smartphone can also help you with this. There are apps for creating to-do lists which will keep you productive. You can make notes and even give yourself alerts to push yourself to get things done.
