Touchnote Print Box Review & Giveaway

So whilst I was at Britmums Live I signed up to the Touchnote ambassador list, to be honest I didn't think I would hear from them again.

So imagine my surprise when I get an email letting me know I was one of the lucky ones who had got the role!

As an ambassador I get to review their postcard service and their brand new product the Print Box.

My first hurdle came when I told Caren I haven't been on holiday or that I wasn't planning any holidays away this year but fortunately for my lovely parents they were actually in Italy.

So we both decided it would be a great idea for them to review the Print Box and we could get a 'grandparents perspective' of the box.

So the following review was done by my mum Maria.

When my Hannah first suggested using Touchnote, I have to admit I couldn't really see the point - after all these years of sharing photos easily on Facebook the idea of sending postcards snail mail seemed dated and unnecessary.

The app was easy to use and really only a matter of minutes to set up our Print Box.
However, a few days later when I picked up the post from the mat and saw a gorgeous postcard of our lovely little grandson, Rupert, throwing stones into the sea, I was a convert!

It was such a lovely surprise to see something so personal amongst all the junk mail and brown envelopes that it actually made my day.

My husband and I are of the generation who grew up accustomed to waiting for our photos to be developed but over the last decade or so we've moved with the times and joined social media, mainly to keep up with our family and friends and especially to keep connected to our grandchildren, but having something tangible arriving through the post is actually so much more satisfying and a real bonus for the generation above us who might not be on social media at all.

A great retro innovation!

How does it work?

Touchnote has created a smart algorithm based on how people take photos.
It uses your phone’s geo-location technology to identify where in the world you are when your pictures are taken.
The algorithm recognises the quality and quantity of your pictures. Then it cleverly pre-selects 36 of the best ones and places them in a Print Box on your iPhone or iPad.
If you have snapped away multiple times at the same thing it will cleverly pre-select just the best one, if any photos are pixelated or out of focus it will leave those out.
You can browse through the Print Box, make changes if you wish, and then order a real version to be printed and posted to you in a choice of 4 beautifully designed boxes.
